The Academy High School Interact Club collected and donated Bears to Sheriff Kirkpatrick at the Kleberg County Sheriff's Department. The Bears for Badges is designed to equip police officers with stuffed bears which they can carry in their units to give to the children they encounter during difficult situations. The teddy bears are important tools for officers to connect with and comfort the community they serve.
