Call for Nomination for District Governor 2019-2020
Who will be the next in line to be District Governor for Rotary District 5930?
Will it be a member of your Club? Will it be someone you know? Will it be you?
Now that your first few Rotary club meetings are out of the way, I’d like to ask you and your club members’ assistance in identifying potential candidates for our District’s 2019 – 2020 Governor. I know that seems like a long way into the future but in order to comply with Rotary International’s Manual of Procedure, this is the required protocol.
I have linked to a copy of the qualifications to be considered as a candidate for the position of District Governor Nominee, a job description and also a club nomination resolution. The deadline for our District’s Nominating Committee Representative DG Debbie High to receive completed club nomination resolutions is 11:59 pm on Thursday, December 1, 2016. Interviews will be held on December 10, 2016. Location and times for interviews will be determined and announced to the nominees.
The following is not a requirement in the District MOP:
It is strongly suggested that the candidate include a Rotary Centric biography of no more than two pages. It should include the candidate's e-mail address, telephone number, mailing address, vocational information, Rotary Classification, length of service to Rotary, and a recapitulation of their Rotary Life including positions held at the Club, District, Zone, or International level as well as their Rotary activities and awards.
The documents must be submitted as a package. Confirmation of receipt and the completeness of the submitted documents will be sent to the nominee's e-mail address within 36 hours of receipt.
If you have any questions regarding to this process, please direct them to either PDG Betty Frantum or to me. Thanks for your assistance with this most important task.
