Fellow Club Members:
This month begins my Club visits. I am looking forward to meeting with each club and discussing their goals and objectives for this year. I always like to see how different clubs approach the same goals in many different ways. I hope to share some of those ideas with others if they are looking for a new approach. Please be sure to have your goals entered into Club Runner on the District website prior to my visit so we can discuss them when I visit your club. If you have problems entering the information, contact Adam Lara for assistance. Adam's email information is alara@nuduse.com. He has volunteered to assist club's in the use of Club Runner and is a certified trainer for this. Thank you, Adam for stepping up to assist the District with this important training.
In September, we have a wonderful opportunity to attend the Rotary Institute in San Antonio. For those who are not familiar with the Institute, it is a meeting of 22 Districts from our Zone 21B and Zone 27. This is an opportunity to hear what is happening in Rotary from the top management. The Institute is usually only open to District management teams, however, this year it is open to all Rotarians. This is a wonderful opportunity right in our backyard to find out more about how Rotary functions, to hear great speakers, enjoy good entertainment and fellowship. In October, we are preparing for two training sessions for membership and The Rotary Foundation training. The first will be held on October 17 in Kingsville and the second will be on October 24 in the Valley. Exact locations, time and registration will be announced closer to the event but please put these dates on you calendar.
