Rotary Trilogy – Membership, The Rotary Foundation, Public Image/Rotary Awareness

 

 

Luis Cavazos, Lt. Governor of Membership has been busy presenting across our District 5930.  He hosted our Rotary Continuing Education Call last month with the Now or Never video with facts and figures.  Our Rotary International Council of Legislation has allowed our Rotary Clubs to exercise membership flexibility.  We have numerous Rotary Clubs in our District taking advantage of this strategy to grow and give options to their members.   In addition, A “Jumpstart” Membership Conference Call was facilitated by Kelly Atkinson, Rotary Coordinator and we were honored to have Julie Aubry, Regional Membership Officer as well on the call.   I am sharing this  open to Rotarians all over our District.  Our District website has a link under Membership – Membership Matters Webinar for easy reference.

Ellison Crider, District Foundation Chair/District Governor Nominee hosted “Focus on the Foundation” on January 13^th at Texas A & M Kingsville.  We had a Full House of Rotarians along with Global Grant Scholar Amanda Lewis presenting her experience in The Netherlands.  Amanda Lewis is currently working on her PHD at Texas A & M Kingsville.

Aleda Reyes, Lt. Governor of Public Image/Rotary Awareness has been posting on Face Book on how to promote your Club Events and your Public Image/Rotary Awareness.  Are you checking off the requirements for the 2017-2018 Presidential Citation and the Tootie Awards?

 

This month’s 3^rd Monday Rotary Continuing Education will focus on criteria for the Club Tootie Awards and Presidential Citation.  Deadlines are quickly approaching!

Are your Rotary Club signs updated with the New Rotary Branding?  Are you promoting your events with Social Media, newspapers, flyers, members?  Are you promoting your Service Projects to create Awareness to encourage growing your Club membership?  Are you inviting potential members to your Service Projects?  Are you inviting potential members to your  “Students of the Month” Awards ceremonies?  Are you inviting your RYLA candidates’ parents to a Club Social?

 

As the only Goal for 2017-2018 To Help & Support Our District 5930 Clubs – What can we do to help you?

 

 

 

Kudos and a TREMENDOUS Thank You to our Corpus Christi Rotary Club for an AWESOME Event.  We had a record number of participants – 275!!  Also a BIG Kudos to Sandra Langley from Brownsville North Rotary Club & Marilu Gorecki of The Laredo Rotary Club for Volunteering at RYLA.  They have signed up for NEXT YEAR!!!!

 

 

As of February 1^st, 2018, we have awarded 41 Grant Requests totaling $311,222.81.

Total of $438,949.78 has been raised to help Hurricane Harvey affected communities in our Rotary District 5930.
