Rotary 5930 June Newsletter
Well, the Rotary year is coming to an end and the first of July signals the beginning of a new year.

First, I want to congratulate the Clubs which qualified for the Presidential Citation this year.  Unlike previous years, we have three levels of the Citation.  To qualify for the Gold level, a club needed to complete 7 out of 7 categories, Silver level 6 out of 7, and Bronze level 5 out of 7.  This year the requirements were very difficult and we only had a limited number of Clubs which met the criteria.

GOLD

The Rotary Club of Laredo
Laredo - Next Generation
Southside Corpus Christi
The Rotary Club of Corpus Christi
Brownsville Sunrise

SILVER

Edinburg
Harlingen

BRONZE

Corpus Christi Evening
Laredo Daybreak
Laredo Under 7 Flags
Harlingen Sunburst

Congratulations to all these clubs for their hard work in obtaining this fantastic goal. Good Job!!

I would again like to thank you for your generous donations to the Rotary Foundation.  Without your support our District and Global Grants would not be possible.  If you have not had the opportunity to submit your funds to the Foundation for this year and need assistance, please contact either Betty Lara or myself.  We would be happy to assist you.

The invoices from Rotary International will be coming out right after the first of next month.  Remember that the Council on Legislation enacted a dues increase for the next three years of $4 per member per year so be prepared for the increase when the invoice arrives.  Now is the time to access Club Runner to check your membership roles for accuracy.  If you need assistance, please contact Nancy Ross or your area Assistant Governor.

Finally, I would like to thank all of you for your support and kindness to me this year as your District Governor.  You have made this a very memorable year for me.  I am so proud of each club for what your are doing in your communities and the impact that you are making in the World.  You have taken the theme this year to heart and have truly been a Gift to the World.  I wish you all the best and know that you will give our new Governor, Debbie High your full support.  Thank you for the opportunity to serve you this year.

Betty W. Frantum
District 5930 Governor 2015-2016
