
INTERNATIONAL PEACE SUMMIT

Participation Objective
To take part in the first edition of the Art for Peace Project, organized by Rotary District 5930 and Rotary District 4130, an initiative that encourages creativity and reflection on peace through the projects of Rotary International. The artwork should symbolize unity, harmony, compassion, and cultural understanding, and be designed as a centerpiece suitable for display at a communal table.
📌 General Rules:
- Eligibility:
Open to Interact Clubs Entries - Submission Deadline
All entries must be submitted by October 16, 2025 to a Rotary Club Member who will transport the centerpiece to the Brownsville Event Center by 7:30 a.m. on October 18th, 2025. - Entry Limit:
One submission per participant or team.
🛠️ Centerpiece Requirements:
- Theme Relevance:
The piece must visually and conceptually represent peace in the world. Artists or Teams should include their name and a short (100–250 words) written statement explaining their interpretation. - Size & Format:
- Maximum dimensions: 18" W x 18" D x 18" H]
- Must be a free-standing centerpiece suitable for display on a standard table.
- Materials:
- Any medium is welcome (mixed media, recycled materials, sculpture, floral, ceramic, etc.), but must be non-toxic, stable, and safe for indoor display.
- No open flames or hazardous materials.
- Original Work:
All submissions must be original and not previously submitted to other contests or exhibitions.
🧑⚖️ Evaluation & Recognition Criteria:
Submissions will be judged on the following:
- Creativity & Originality (25%)
- Relevance to the Theme (Peace) (25%)
- Artistic Technique & Presentation (20%)
- Emotional Impact / Storytelling (20%)
- Craftsmanship / Construction Quality (10%)
🌟 Recognition:
All participants will be acknowledged for their creativity and contribution to the Rotary Peace Summit. Each Interact team will receive a Club Certificate of Recognition for their involvement.
In addition, special recognition will be highlighted in categories such as:
- Most Creative
- People’s Choice
- Honorable Mention

Participants may also submit a photo of their centerpiece along with their artist’s statement in advance. These submissions may be used for pre-screening purposes and/or for promotional features related to the Rotary Peace Summit.
