It was my great pleasure to assist in handing out the District Grant award checks to several clubs in the Corpus Christi area this month. We are going to Do Good in the World right in our own backyards with many of these grants, which are available because generous Rotarians like you donated to the Foundation!

Saturday, September 24 will be our

3 in 1 seminar at Texas A&M Kingsville. We are lucky to have Christine Grodecki, our Annual Funds Officer from the Rotary Foundation headquarters, as our special guest. She will share with us the latest information on the Foundation Centennial and other valuable information about Foundation giving. All Club Foundation chairs and anyone interested in learning more about the Rotary Foundation should plan to attend this training event. There will also be seminars relating to membership development and public relations, both of which are intimately tied to the success of the Foundation.

Plans for the Rotary Foundation Centennial Dinner on November 12 are under way. Registration will be open soon. We will have a limited number of seats so make your reservations early. This will be a night of celebration and fun and a few surprises. Look for more information coming soon. Thanks to all who are working to make this a memorable night, especially the members of the Corpus Christi Evening Club.

Look for more information soon on Costa Rica and Global Grant scholarship applications. Be looking for qualified candidates to apply for these.

See you in Kingsville!
