We would like to take a moment to highlight an important initiative that embodies the spirit of Rotary: Rotary Youth Exchange Program. For some time, our district has experienced a lull with this incredible opportunity, but we are excited to announce its revitalization.
The Rotary Youth Exchange is more than just an exchange program; it fosters understanding of diverse cultures and values, ignites curiosity about the world, and promotes peace through international friendship. Last Rotary year, we were thrilled to reignite our program, successfully sending a student to Spain while welcoming a student from Spain back to our district, 5930. Their experiences and representation were commendable, showcasing the best of our Rotary values.
This year, we are pleased to welcome a student from Slovakia! While we did not see significant interest from local students for outgoing exchanges at this time, we believe in the transformative power of this adventure. Engaging in a Rotary Youth Exchange can lead to profound personal growth and self-discovery.
We encourage everyone to stay tuned for more information about this remarkable opportunity and to consider how you might support and promote interest in future exchanges. Together, we can inspire our youth to embrace the world and all its possibilities.
