Rotary fellowship is far more than friendship. It is the force that transforms ideas into action and strangers into partners in service.
As this Rotary year closes, we can celebrate:
- Growing public awareness of Rotary’s impact in our communities and around the world.
- Expanding understanding of The Rotary Foundation, whose grants continue to support sustainable projects in health, education, disaster response, economic development, clean water, and peacebuilding.
- Strengthening our commitment to mentoring the next generation of leaders through Youth Exchange, Interact, Rotaract, RYLA, Four-Way Test competitions, and youth leadership assemblies.
- Building partnerships that extend beyond borders and create lasting change.
Every service project, meeting, fundraiser, youth event, and grant application represented something larger: people united for good.
Thank you for making this year meaningful.
Fellowship: The Heartbeat of Rotary
Rotary fellowship connects people through shared purpose and common values. Through club meetings, district events, service projects, conferences, and international partnerships, members build friendships that often last a lifetime.
Rotarians discover that fellowship creates:
✓ Stronger communities
✓ New professional and personal connections
✓ Cross-cultural understanding
✓ Opportunities for collaboration
✓ Support during challenges and disasters
✓ Inspiration to serve more effectively
The friendships formed in Rotary are often the beginning of extraordinary service. Many of our clubs have created signature projects and signature fundraisers that have been sustained and recognized by our communities as annual events in which they participate and support.
Explore Rotary Action Groups: Fellowship Through Shared Passions
Did you know Rotary members can join Rotary Action Groups (RAGs) focused on specific areas of interest and expertise?
Rotary Action Groups bring together Rotarians worldwide who share a passion for addressing critical issues such as:
- Peacebuilding and conflict resolution
- Mental health awareness and support
- Environmental sustainability and protection
- Disease prevention and infectious disease reduction
- Human trafficking prevention
- Economic development and poverty reduction
- Water, sanitation, maternal health, basic education and literacy, and many other areas.
These groups provide opportunities to learn, collaborate internationally, and strengthen Rotary’s impact through specialized knowledge.
At our International Peace Summit in October 2025, we partnered with the Rotary Action Group for Peace (RAGFP), and were invited to create peace-building clubs and a RAGFP Chapter. The Interact Club of Los Fresnos took the invitation to heart and offered to host our Youth Summit, inviting young people from Ukraine to join virtually. We are initiating a new RAGFP Chapter in the Rio Grande Valley named “RioPAX” which will also include the border communities of Tamaulipas, Mexico, and become a binational chapter.

Year in Reflection: United for Good
Please help me congratulate the Rotary Club of Padre Island on receiving its new charter, celebrated on January 14, 2026, and the Rotary Club of Harlingen Sunrise for celebrating its Centennial Year of service on June 11, 2026.
As this Rotary year concludes, consider these questions:
With whom did Rotary help you connect?
What project inspired you most?
How did the fellowship strengthen your club service?
Whose life changed because Rotarians chose to act?
The answers tell the story of District 5930.
