MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH MONTH

INSPIRE! CONNECT! ENGAGE!
UNITE FOR GOOD!
Hello from DG ELAINE HERNANDEZ
Welcome to Rotary year 2025 – 2026.

Congratulations to all district and club leaders, and to all Rotary members for stepping up to inspire, connect, engage, mentor, and learn.

We are building upon the accomplishments of the prior Rotary years that serve as our foundation, and we are projecting ourselves forward with a three-year vision that will take us to June 2028.
We are moving on from being a “Dream Catcher,” where we allowed our minds and hearts to imagine new possibilities for serving our communities by tapping into the “Magic of Rotary.”

This coming year, we will “Unite for Good” and create our own “Butterfly Effect” by focusing on local solutions to local problems through partnerships. We will collaborate with other Rotary Clubs in our district and abroad, with other Rotary Districts (nationally and internationally), and with other agencies and organizations possessing similar humanitarian goals of uplifting our communities.

NEWS FROM THE DISTRICT COMMITTEES
DISTRICT MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE:
 “The Heart of Rotary Service”

Lt. Governor PDG Andy Hagan and his MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE will help you to expand your club’s reach this year by growing your membership, retaining your existing members, and starting new clubs in your communities.
This will be achieved by creating new channels into Rotary through partnerships, by increasing Rotary’s openness and appeal, and by building awareness of our impact and brand.

We invite all clubs to participate in our second annual Membership Olympics. Our 2025-2026 District 5930 Membership Olympics kicked off on May 31, 2025, at the District Assembly. The NINE Game Challenges must be completed and submitted not later than March 31, 2026.

Please contact PDG Andy if you have any questions or would like to learn more about the Olympic Game Challenge at andyhagan05@gmail.com.

Also, please ensure that all your members open a MyRotary.org account.
The Foundation Committee is developing a Disaster Response Plan and is applying for a 501 (c) (3) IRS status for our D5930. Please consider volunteering in a Disaster Response Service Project if the need arises.

Please consider serving on the District’s Public Image Committee. You can help ensure correct use of the Rotary brand and help to promote our clubs’ activities and service projects.

District IT/DATA Committee:
“Attention is paid to what is measured!”
This coming year, we will focus energy on updating our Rotary member profiles with correct names, phone numbers, mailing addresses, and email addresses. We often have district emails that are returned “undeliverable,” and that means that Rotary International also has important correspondence that is not reaching its audience. Hub leaders and Assistant Governors will assist their clubs in updating the membership database at MyRotary.org and in Clubrunner.
Each month, at the HUB level, we will track and discuss progress on your club goals which have been established in Rotary Club Central for 2025-2026.
  1. Enhance Participant ENGAGEMENT
  2. Increase our IMPACT
  3. Expand our REACH
  4. Increase our ABILITY TO ADAPT

Lt. Governor Andy Zamarripa leads the IT/DATA COMMITTEE which will assist each Hub leader, each Assistant Governor, and all club Presidents in receiving and interpreting the reports that are generated through Rotary Club Central. He will also provide IT support for our District Events.
If you are interested in serving on this committee, please contact Lt. Governor Andy Zamarripa by emailing him at azamarripa@gmail.com.
And Andy is ready to provide assistance to your club in ensuring the accuracy of the members’ contact information, registering members for a “MyRotary.org” account, and for reviewing your monthly reports.
