From District Governor
Where has the time gone!

We are very close to our Conference and Assembly Kick-off!  Luis and I are excited that you all are coming! Right!!

Where else can you get away and have a full day of fun - a Buffet Lunch, more fun and fellowship and a Dinner with 200 of your closest friends and celebrate all you have worked so hard for this year?  All included for $75!

At the Assembly, you will hear from Incoming District Governor Luis Cavazos on his exciting plans and we will have our Assembly Crew to deliver information you all will need.
Tim Dowling is ready for our District 4-Way Test Speech Contest! I know you are all working to have your Area Contests; even this week! That will be happening also Saturday Morning at the Conference for the crowning of the District Champion!

We have additional Hotel Rooms available at the Embassy Suites on SPID (South Padre Island Drive). So make sure you get one at a good price.

The Rotary Foundation Grant Training will be held there at the Embassy Suites 4337 South Padre Island Drive on  Friday, April 28th from 2:30 pm until 5:30pm. Then come by for some Fellowship straight down Weber to Ocean Drive And …..

And … we all have an invitation from District Governor Sharon Coleman from North Austin District 5840 to come by the Holiday Inn Corpus Downtown Marina for a Fellowship time at 6 pm.
That’s at 707 N Shoreline Blvd! Yep, they like the Bay and Beach so much that they will be here all weekend too!

From that, we plan to all migrate to Brewster Street Ice House 1724 North Tancahua for snacks, dinner, and fun.  It’s located down a little farther on Shoreline then left on Twiggs and a right on Chaparral Street going behind the American Bank Center and left on Tancahua to Brewsters!

We start early on Saturday morning at the Omni Corpus Christi Hotel, so be prepared to wake up early and enjoy the day!

Sunday morning we will form up to End Polio Now by wearing our Red Polio Shirts and meet at the Gazebo across from the Omni and Holiday Inn for a brisk walk around the T-Heads.

Thank you for this year See You In Corpus Soon!!

Thank you, for each and every one of you!

Promote the power of vaccines for
World Immunization Week this April
Here’s how you can support Rotary’s efforts during World Immunization Week:

  • Use the World Immunization Week Toolkit for graphics and sample posts to share on social media with the hashtags #EndPolio and #VaccinesWork.
  • Download and share our video, “Zero-Dose Children.”
  • Donate to PolioPlus to help Rotary and our partners deliver polio vaccines to vulnerable children. Or start an online fundraiser to help us end polio using Raise for Rotary and share it with your network. Contributions will be matched 2-to-1 by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Rotary districts can give District Designated Funds (DDF) to PolioPlus to help meet our goal of raising US$50 million each year to eradicate polio.

Join us during World Immunization Week and remind the world that together, we end polio.
Participate in the Paul Harris Fellow Special Offer (Matching Points Program).
This is a special opportunity for all Rotarians from District 5930 to match their contributions to the Annual Fund and achieve a Paul Harris Fellow recognition.
If you have more questions, please contact TRF District Chair Juan Lira.

#Rotary23 is just around the corner! Will you be joining us in Melbourne? We hope to see you there!

People of Action helps define Rotary for those who don’t know us. We’re professional, community, and civic leaders who connect with each other and who share a unique perspective and passion for taking action to improve the world. Describing and showing ourselves as people of action creates a personal connection to Rotary and emphasizes the impact we make in our communities.
