Rotary International President’s Representative Brian Hall, Past District Governor Andy Hagan, and I visited the Rotary Club of Corpus Christi on Thursday, April 25th to attend the All-Club Luncheon. This kicked off our Celebration of our 2024 District Conference. It was very well attended by Rotary members from all the Corpus Christi Clubs and we had a large delegation from the Rotary Club of Portland. I gave out some awards and Brian gave a motivational and informative talk.

Rotary District 5930 Conference
We continued with a social gathering in Harlingen on the evening of Friday, April 26th. The official Conference began on Saturday morning with the popular Four-Way Test Speech Contest, followed by lunch, a business meeting, and informative educational training. The air was full of enchantment for dinner. The speakers were great and all in line with passion and compassion. By the time we got to the finale and the awards ceremony, the music and dancing started and finished out the evening!
The fun and the excitement will continue in June at the District Assembly in Kingsville and the Installation in Corpus Christi for the 2024/2025 Rotary year. Go to our District 5930 website to register for both events.

May is Rotary’s Youth Service Month! Throughout the month, Rotarians, Rotaractors, and younger members of the Rotary family, including Interactors and RYLA and Rotary Youth Exchange participants, celebrate the service, leadership development, connections, and FUN of Rotary’s programs for young leaders.
Every year, over 350,000 young leaders participate in Rotary’s youth programs across Interact, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), and Rotary Youth Exchange. Rotary’s Youth Service Month is an opportunity to promote our young leaders’ local and global impacts and the Rotary and Rotaract clubs that make these programs possible.
People of Action helps define Rotary for those who don’t know us. We’re professional, community, and civic leaders who connect with each other and who share a unique perspective and passion for taking action to improve the world. Describing and showing ourselves as people of action creates a personal connection to Rotary and emphasizes the impact we make in our communities.
