For many of us, particularly those in mid-career, the desire to contribute meaningfully and see tangible results from our efforts is paramount. This theme isn't just a slogan; it's an invitation to re-evaluate how we engage with our communities and with Rotary itself.
It calls for us to move beyond transactional service and toward initiatives that foster sustainable change, address root causes, and empower those we serve to build a brighter future. Let us consider how our professional skills, our networks, and our passion can be leveraged to create ripples of positive transformation that extend far beyond the immediate completion of a project.

The 2026-27 presidential message, Create Lasting Impact, reminds us that “change is only the beginning. Impact is what endures.” This message, shared by President-elect Yinka Babalola at the 2026 International Assembly, reflects our shared purpose as people of action working together to create meaningful change and provides a framework for telling those stories of impact. Using this Rotary-wide message helps create a consistent, unified voice that strengthens recognition of Rotary and supports our continued growth. The 2026-2027 District 5930 Membership Olympics kicks off on July 1, 2026. This is the third year for the D5930 Club Membership Olympics Games, and it’s a great chance to strengthen our clubs and bring in new members as we Create Lasting Impact.

Join us to meet with other Rotarians from 76 districts to share ideas for expanding our reach and be inspired by Rotary International President-elect Yinka Babalola and #rotaryinternational President Nominee Larry Lunsford. The Institute will be held at the all-inclusive Iberostar resort, which has beachfront accommodations, ten restaurants and bars, a golf course and tennis courts, a regulation-sized soccer field, multiple pools, and a full-service spa. I can’t think of a better place to gather with 1,000 other Rotary members.
