PolioPlus Club Recognition Award for 2021-2022
PolioPlus Club Recognition Award for 2021-2022
Dear Club Presidents, Presidents-Elect, Club Foundation Committee Chairs and Committee Members, PolioPlus Committee Chairs, and Other Fellow Rotarians:
The leadership of District 5930 has established the District PolioPlus Club Recognition Award for 2021-2022 to recognize Rotary clubs that are making a concerted effort to help eradicate polio from the face of the earth through their support of The Rotary Foundation’s PolioPlus/EndPolioNow campaign.
The attached documents provide detailed information about this initiative, as well as an application that clubs are asked to submit to DeeDee Arismendez no later than February 7, 2022, if they wish to apply for this award.
We encourage you and your respective clubs to seriously consider participating in the PolioPlus/EndPolioNow campaign.  Your involvement as a global partner in this endeavor can play a significant role in ridding the earth of this deadly disease. The Rotary Foundation’s goal this year is to raise $50 million, which will be matched at a ratio of 2:1 by the Gates Foundation.
Questions regarding this award can be directed to DeeDee Arismendez (District Rotary Foundation Team Co-Chair) at deedeerotary@gmail.com or to me.
Best wishes,
Juan Lira, Chair
District Rotary Foundation Team
